Applications of BBa_K4244042

We expressed rhMMP-9 in E. coli BL21 (DE3). A 50mL culture was grown to an OD of 0.6, induced with IPTG, and grown at 25 degrees Celcius over night. The cells were sonicated, and whole cell fraction, supernatant, and cell pellet were collected and run on an SDS-gel. Subsequently a Western Blot using MMP-9 antibodies was performed, showing expression of the expected 45 kDa bands. The origin of the larger bands is unknown.
